HIV/AIDS???

As of November 2005, Project Inform will stop the publication of Wise Words. The PI Perspective, the treatment journal of Project Inform, will continue to cover HIV/AIDS treatment information of interest to women living with HIV.
But even as we stop the publication of Wise Words, our commitment to women living with HIV will continue in other ways. This is exemplified in a new five-year grant award we received to develop a national peer education and training program for HIV-positive women. We have chosen to direct all of the grant funds (over a half million dollars) to our partners in this project—the Center for Health Training and Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Diseases (WORLD), an agency providing services and support to women living with HIV. Additionally, Shalini Eddens, former director of Project Wise, will move to work full time at WORLD.
Women with HIV, we believe, will be better served by an organization solely dedicated to their needs. It is our hope that these decisions will result in more focused women-specific educational efforts.
